Shooting the White Eagle

June 1st, 2014

Pinhole Theatre is thrilled to be supporting associate artist Scott Smith with his new piece for Edinburgh this summer – SHOOTING THE WHITE EAGLE which will be performed at Just the Tonic at the Caves, VENUE 88, THE BIG ROOM,  8-12 Niddry Street South,  Edinburgh, EH1 1NS, throughout the festival – between  31st July -24th August 2014 (except the 12th) at 16:35

Shooting the White Eagle is a new piece of immersive theatre which asks the audience to participate as background artists, technical crew or to just sit back and relax. Using verbatim accounts and epic theatre devices this production mixes the fictional film-making and petty politics which arise on the set of “The White Eagle” with the testimonials of Gulag survivors to dark comic effect. Shooting the White Eagle gives the audience choices on their level of participation whilst confronting them with the stark realities of life in a Gulag
